The Sandwich Board provides buffets for all budgets and for all occasions around Solihull and the West Midlands - office meetings, family parties, weddings, funerals are just some of the events we cater for.  We have many corporate customers for whom we supply business lunches.

We only provide food that we would want to eat ourselves.  We pride ourselves on the quality of our food and service, and many of our customers regularly order from us for both corporate and family events.

Many people contact us and ask “how much will a buffet cost?” Our answer is that if you let us know your budget, and the sort of thing you would like, we can start from there.  If you dread looking at catering websites, because they don’t show prices - you have to phone them to find out what everything costs - we have some sample menus, which will give you an idea of how much we charge.

THESE MENUS ARE SAMPLES ONLY - yes, you can order them exactly as they are, or you can tweak them.  Or you can ask us to make a completely different menu for your event.

We believe in using quality food - our bread mostly comes from Wedge’s Bakery in Hockley Heath. The chicken we use in our sandwiches is all grade A British chicken, cooked by ourselves. Our eggs are all free-range.  Our ham is whole-leg ham, not pre-formed.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?

The prices quoted for menus below, and a la carte menus, includes preparation of food and delivery, using quality disposable tableware.

You are more than welcome to have your food delivered on our white china tableware, provided it is returned to us, washed and packed, within three days.

Should you wish us to stay for the duration of the event and serve food or drinks, clear away the food, or even wash up and clear food part of the venue, we can also provide this service. This would cost £15 per hour per member of staff, from arrival time to departure time. The number of staff required would depend upon the size of the event.

Please note that we do not yet have to charge you VAT on buffets, unlike other local caterers.

 

Please give at least 72 hours’ notice for buffets, although we will do our best to accommodate last-minute orders if possible.

JUST SANDWICHES PLATTER ……. £3.75 per sandwich If you are ordering a corporate buffet, and don’t want to spend ages going through menus and ordering individual sandwiches, you have the choice of ordering from a “set menu” of sandwiches.  Any of these fillings can, of course, be changed. Unless otherwise requested, sandwiches are served as one round on Wedge’s white bread, and one round on Wedge’s granary bread. All sandwiches are served on disposable platters, with disposable plates serviettes, and are freshly made just before delivery. If you don’t want these fillings, just let us know your preferences!
